The 6th Edition International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) – Education week (26-28 March 2013, Beijing, China)
Dear SPE-UTP-SC members,
The International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) is hosting an education week, the 6th Edition International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) which is from 26 till 28 March 2013 in Beijing, China.
For your information, IPTC is a collaborative effort between the European Association of Geologists and Engineers (EAGE), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
Each qualified institution can nominate up to maximum 4 students to participate in the Education Week. It is anticipated that some 75-100 of the best students from qualified institutions across the eastern hemisphere will be selected to participate in the IPTC Beijing Education Week. IPTC will cover travel and accommodation expenses for the selected students.
As part of the IPTC Beijing programme, this Education Week aims to provide students a clearer view of petroleum industry, to work together on a joint technical project and to provide opportunities for student to extend their social network. Besides that, students will get the chance to interact with a number of major industry employers who are constantly looking to recruit the best talent from institutions across the region.
The criteria are as follows:
1. 3rd Year and 4th year students who are available during March 2013.
(Students currently taking 3rd year 1st semester or having internship
starting from this May are eligible.)
2. CGPA > 3.7
(Provide necessary document as proof)
3. Preferably Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering student
(Other engineering courses are allowed.)
4. Must be an SPE-UTP-SC member
